Hope & Healing: A Grief
Support Group

Walking Together Through Grief

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." – Matthew 5:4

At St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, we understand that grief comes in many forms—whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a life change, or the weight of prolonged caregiving. Our Grief Support Group is a safe and sacred space where those experiencing loss can find comfort, community, and hope.

Who Is This For?

This group is open to all—parishioners, community members, caregivers, and anyone who is grieving. Whether your loss is recent or still tender after years, you are welcome.

What to Expect

  • A supportive, confidential space to share your story

  • Guided reflections grounded in Scripture and prayer

  • Practical tools for navigating grief

  • Compassionate listening from others who understand

  • No pressure to speak—just a place to be present

Why We Gather

Grief can be isolating, but you don’t have to walk this path alone. Our faith teaches us that even in sorrow, God is near, and healing happens in community. Together, we bear one another’s burdens and find signs of resurrection life even amid loss.
