The Lord’s Lighthouse Mission, under the direction of Pastor Bill Cruz and Dora Cruz, is located in the annex building on the Rsukin Campus. The Lord’s Lighthouse focuses on meeting people’s immediate physical needs as well as their spiritual needs. The Mission offers food, clothing, household items, and services such as translation, Advocacy, Application assistance for Medicaid, Food Stamps and Benefits. In June, 2011, 922 families received food, clothing, and other services.
A church service with Sunday School is held at the Ruskin Campus every Sunday, (11:15 a.m.) followed by lunch and fellowship. Attendance averages over 100 people.
Answers to prayer! The Diocese of Southwest Florida has provided The Lord’s Lighthouse with a low mileage 2008 Ford F-150 cargo van. This much-need van is being used to pick up food, furniture and other donated items. God has answered the urgent need for additional mission space through three portable buildings, donated by the Church of the Cross, Bradenton.
You can help the Mission by donating money, nonperishable food, clothing and household items. You can volunteer and keep the Mission in your prayers.
The Lord’s Lighthouse Mission is open Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. People who wish to donate or obtain services or information, may call 813-641-7100 or 813-641-7114.
