Cursillo is an active ministry. Its purpose is to help us understand our calling to be Christian leaders. Cursillo is patterned on Jesus’ own example — he called a small group of potential leaders. He trained them by word and example, and he inspired them with a vision.
We begin our Cursillo journey with a three-day weekend at Day Spring Conference Center. The three days are filled with talks and group discussion with emphasis on the doctrine of grace and sacraments.

There is fellowship, singing, medication time, sharing and good food. The weekend is just the starting point that lasts the rest of your life. In Cursillo we call this our “Fourth Day” which constitutes two major elements. One is the Group Reunion, which is the heart of Cursillo where small groups of friends meet weekly to report on their spiritual life. A bond develops that provides a strong support group for life. The second element is Ultreya, the reunion of Cursillistas in the Diocese, usually held monthly. We often have parish Ultreyas where we share our walk with Christ.
Cursillo is available to all who are communicants in the Episcopal Church. In our Diocese we hold three weekends a year; February, June and September. Applications are available in the parish office and on line at http://cursilloswfla.org/
