As a Parish, we are commited  "to Provide a Christain environment
where all can experience the presence and love of the risen Christ
and be a caring Christian family for all people."

St John the Divine is a church for the whole family, dedicated
to serving the needs of this diverse and rapidly growing area.

On October 18, 1962, St. John the Divine was formally organized as
a mission and in 1973 was admitted as a parish to the Diocese
of Southwest Florida.

On July 26, 2009, our East Campus in Sun City Center was officially
opened. We are the first church in the Diocese of Southwest Florida 
to be one church with two campuses. Our church has grown from 35
members to over 500 members.

In addition, we are sharing our West campus with the Lord's Lighthouse,
a ministry to the Hispanic community of the area.
