We are part of the Cursillo Community of the Diocese of Southwest Florida.
We are a group of Episcopalians eager to develop lay leadership across our diocese. Cursillo is one method for training, supporting and ongoing development of Christian leadership. The Cursillo method contains two main components, a 3-day weekend filled with 15 talks, group discussions, worship and fun… and the 4th-day that represents how we live out the Christian life in support of one another. SO, YOU MIGHT ASK, WHAT IS CURSILLO AND WHAT WILL IT DO FOR ME?
(Cur-SEE’-yo) – Spanish word meaning “short course”, or in this case “A Short Course in Christian Living”an opportunity to grow in faith and in spirituality.
1. It is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the teachings of Jesus and how we can serve him.
2. It is an experience of living in a loving and caring Christian community.
3. It is a continuing community that gives support and encouragement empowering the renewed Christians to persevere in carrying out their Baptismal vow.
Come join us at any Parish meeting or Ultreya. We also have an open group that generally meets on Monday nights around 6 PM. Call if you have any questions.
